Dundee ReStore Absorbing More Goods, Extending Hours With Consolidation

Winter Haven Store Will Close September 28

The "ReStore" operated by Habitat for Humanity in Dundee is going to be a bit busier. Habitat for Humanity of East Polk County is consolidating a second store they have operated at 3550 Recker Highway in Winter Haven into the single Dundee location.

The move will combine their inventory and resources into the existing store at 27985 US 27, which will allow the group to extend the store's hours of operation beginning October 1st. The new operating schedule will be Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The ReStore on US 27 in Dundee offers a variety of recovered and donated building supplies at discounted prices. Proceeds of sales benefit Habitat for Humanity of East Polk, which works to create affordable housing for those in need.

"This change will allow us to serve our customers better, offering an expanded selection of home goods, furniture, and building materials in a single, enhanced shopping experience," according to a statement issued by the organization.

Habitat for Humanity of East Polk County is a nonprofit organization that for many years has constructed affordable housing and for families and individuals in need, requiring the prospective homeowners to generate "sweat equity" by assisting in the construction projects or related volunteer activities.

The ReStore on Recker Highway will be closed after Saturday, September 28, 2024. To better accommodate our valued customers, , providing more opportunities for shoppers to explore our vast selection and find the perfect items for their homes.

"We believe this consolidation will allow us to create a stronger, more efficient ReStore operation," said a statement issued by the organization. "By uniting our efforts in Dundee, we can offer a wider variety of products, better customer service, and an overall improved shopping experience, all while continuing to support our mission of building affordable housing in East Polk County."
