Annual Chamber Golf Scramble Fast Approaching

The Lake Wales Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting golf enthusiasts and local business owners to get involved in their annual outing.

The Chamber will host its 2024 Golf Scramble, on Friday, April 26 and feature raffles and a variety of prizes for the "top winners", according to Lori Beyer, Services & Events Coordinator at the Chamber. The tournament take place at the Lake Wales Country Club and offers area golfers an afternoon day of fellowship and some zany fun.

The outing will begin with a luncheon and contests at 11:30 a.m. followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start, and end with an awards presentation at 5 p.m. Early registration is available online by clicking here.

New this year is the inaugural Taste of the Chamber Festival, which will allow golfers to eat their way around the 18 holes. That feature will show off the Chamber's member restaurants, offering them a chance to highlight a specialty food item by offering a treat to the golfers as they begin each hole.

The members of the Golf Committee are seeking tournament, corporate and contest sponsors, hole sponsors, and door prize donations, as well as teams of golfers who will participate in the 4-person scramble event. Entries are limited to 30 teams of players. The $450 entry fee for each four-person team also includes a hole sponsorship, a $100 value.

The Chamber encourages all area businesses and organizations to support this annual fundraiser as a very worthwhile cause. Some four dozen area businesses are already signed up as supporters of various aspects of the tournament, from lead hosts to hole sponsorships.
