JaLeeann Johnston, 1977-2024

JaLeeann Johnston, age 46, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL due to a brain injury resulting from an accidental fall at her home.

She was born November 17, 1977 in Winter Haven, FL. JaLeeann graduated from Lake Wales High School class of 1995. Following her graduation she went to the University of Florida and graduated in 1999 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Performance. She began her career in Naples, FL with Gulfstream Homes, then JaLeeann moved back to Winter Haven to start her career in the Travel and Tourism industry.

JaLeeann was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven, Junior Women's Service League of Great Winter Haven Incorporated and the Gardenia club of Winter Haven. She was an avid reader and enjoyed tennis and golf.

She was preceded in death by her great grandparents J.W. & Theresa Keen of Frostproof, grandparents W.C. "Skeet" & Betty Jane Fulton of Frostproof and grandfather Vance Gandy, Jr. of Florence, SC.

JaLeeann is survived by her mother Lynn Fulton Aaron (Billy Tull & Russell Aaron) of Winter Haven, father Vance Gandy, III (Hunter) of Cocoa Beach, beloved daughter Jenna Keen Johnston, former husband Jeremiah Johnston, sister Lorilynn Cox (Adam), brother Coleman Gandy (Laine) of Jacksonville, grandmother Betty Lee Gandy, nephew Barrett Cox, niece Olivia Lynn Cox, aunts & uncles Deborah Sizemore (Dr. Alan Sizemore) of Winter Haven, and Jan Fulton Crawford (C. Hugh Crawford, Jr.) of Bartow and William "Tag" Gandy (Shelley) of Florence, SC, cousins W.A "Drew" Crawford (Amanda) of Bartow, Claudius H. "Chip" Crawford, III (Megan) of Bartow, Dr. B. Clay Sizemore (Marcy) of Thomasville, GA, Preston Sizemore (Marie) of Palm Beach, Mac Gandy and Lee Gandy both of Florence, SC.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 3, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven, 637 6th Street NW in Winter Haven, FL.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven or LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services, 4016 NW 22nd Dr, Gainesville, FL 32605. The Family is heart broken in the loss of JaLeeann but they do find comfort in the fact, even in death she is giving life to others through her organ donation.
