Jerry Cook, 1939-2023

Jerry Cook, age 84, of Rocky Face, Georgia passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Calhoun Health Care.

He was preceded in death by his parents Enos Cook and Carrie Cook Mehaffey; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Anne Cook; and brother Glenn Mehaffey.

Jerry was a member of Westside Church of Christ.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Kim Cook of Rocky Face, Georgia, Dale and Rebecca Cook of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Brian Cook also of Chattanooga; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Bernard Brown of Winter Haven, Florida; grandchildren, Joshua Cook, Stephanie Cook, Seth Cook, James Bowman III, and Alexander Cook; great-grandchildren, Bentley Roberts, Reagan Roberts, and Everly Roberts; nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Bro. Perry Hurst officiating.

A visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jerry's honor can be made to Marines Toys for Tots.

Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
