Softball Scholarship and Finance Degree are in Future for Young Highlander
Lake Wales Highlander athlete Hannah Battles will be honored at a special reception Friday afternoon at Lake Wales Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. Battles will be attending Bethune Cookman University in the fall, where she will major in finance.
A softball scholarship to Bethune Cookman University awaits Hannah Battles, a key player on the Lake Wales Highlanders state championship softball team.
A Lake Wales High School graduate bound for college will be honored at a special celebration hosted by a local auto dealership Friday.
Hannah Battles, a 2023 graduate, will be celebrating her scholarship signing at Lake Wales Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on Friday at 4:00 pm. Battles was part of the Highlanders softball team that won the 2023 state championship.
"Hannah Battles is a shining example of what dedication, hard work, and perseverance can achieve," said Mark Graham, Senior Marketing Director of the Mahalak Auto Group. "Her journey from Lake Wales High School to Bethune Cookman University is one that inspires and motivates those around her, leaving a lasting legacy for future students to follow."
In the fall Hannah will be attending BCU on a softball scholarship, where she will continue to pursue her passion for sports while majoring in Finance. She is the daughter of LW CDJR team member Moses Battles Jr. Her grandfather, Moses Battles Sr., was himself a former Highlander sports standout at Lake Wales High School, and she will follow in their footsteps at BCU.
"With her unwavering determination and impressive track record, she is sure to make a significant impact at the university and beyond," Graham said.
The public is invited to join the Mahalak Auto Group in celebrating this academically and athletically talented graduate.
