Irene Hudson Heddon, 1937-2023

Irene Hudson Heddon, of Lake Wales, passed Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at her residence.

She was born November 9, 1937, in Oconee, South Carolina to the late Kennelum and Frances (Owens) Hudson and she has been a resident of the area since 1952, moving here from South Carolina. Irene was a retired Owner/Manager of a RV Park, and she was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her husband, Will Heddon; daughters, Hilda Ann Bodoin, Janice Shenfield, Susan Archon; sons, Robert Avirett and Joseph Avirett; sisters, Ruth Griffin, Eunice Whittemore, Joyce Gibson and Margaret Genco; brother, Bennie Hudson; 15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, with Funeral Services being held at 2:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Pastor David Durham officiating.
