Four candidates are seeking new three-year terms on the Lake Wales City Commission on April 4. (L to R) Keith Thompson, and Michelle Threatt are competing for Seat 3, while Danielle Gibson and Robin Gibson are competing for Seat 5.
Saturday, March 25th is the last day registered voters who reside in Lake Wales can submit a request to receive a ballot by mail for the April 4th Municipal Elections.
Four candidates are seeking election to new three-year terms on the city commission in the voting.
New requests for mail ballots can be made online at PolkElections.gov or by calling the Elections Office at (863) 534-5888.
Voted ballots may be returned by mail or dropped off to the Supervisor of Elections, but they must be received by the time the polls close at 7:00 pm on Election Day, April 4th.
For those wishing to vote in person, polling locations will be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Municipal Election Day, Tuesday, April 4th.
Florida law requires in-person voters to vote at the precinct they are assigned. For Lake Wales voters in precincts 523, 527, 528, 530, 532.536.542, and 543, that will be at the Municipal Administration Building at 201 West Central Avenue. Voters in precincts 519, 524, and 526 must cast their ballots at the Lake Ashton Clubhouse, 4141 Ashton Club Drive.
