Ocel, Anthony Joseph (Tony)
Beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 18th, 2022, at age 95. Tony was born the second oldest of eleven children on January 17th, 1927, in Minneapolis, Mn. He was a Navy veteran who served in both World War II and Korea.
Tony met his wife, Lucy, where they both worked at Sears, Roebuck & Co. and they married in 1951, settling in Minneapolis to raise their family. When their five children were grown, he and Lucy moved to Florida to enjoy the sun and year-around warmth, eventually settling in Lake Wales. He loved to paint, especially landscapes, and made hundreds of replica airplanes out of wood which he gave away to children in the neighborhood. He also loved to spend his mornings chatting with friends at McDonalds. He will always be remembered for his generous spirit, his ease in making friends and an unwavering devotion to his family.
