Events Happen in February and March
Got a team of seniors who want to win a title? Or perhaps you're just feeling competitive yourself? Why not consider taking part in the Senior Games? The annual games are modeled after the Olympics and offer an opportunity to test your skills and stamina against others in your own age group.
Polk Senior Games are an annual two-week series of Olympic-style sports and games for men and women 50 years of age and over, held at various locations throughout Polk County.
The Senior Games inspire an active lifestyle, combine an interest in sports and games with fun and fellowship, promote a positive image of seniors and recognize their efforts and achievements, and encourage volunteerism.
Registration for the games begins the first week of January and closes on Friday February 11. Those wishing to register will be able to do so online at http://polkseniorgames.org/.
The Games will begin on Saturday, February 26th and end on Saturday, March 12. In the interest of safety and health, only outdoor events will be offered, according to event organizers, and masks will be required when social distancing is not possible.

Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded in each event and age division, and everyone who participates will receive a tee shirt..
