Gloria Isabel Apuzzo, 1935-2021

Gloria Isabel Apuzzo of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Celebration Hospital.

She was born January 9, 1935 in New York City, New York to the late Joseph and Emanuella Incremona; she moved to Lake Wales from New York 30 years ago. Gloria was a retired accountant for the Board of Education in Newburgh, New York and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She loved to read old novels and watch movies on Turner Classic. She enjoyed going to thrift stores and was an eucharistic minister and lecturer. She loved her family and church.

Gloria was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Apuzzo in March of 2021. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Nicholas Francis Apuzzo; daughter, Angela Apuzzo of Hackettstown, New Jersey; brother, Joseph Incremona (Carol) of Stillwater, Minnesota; grandchildren, Rebecca Overholser (William) and Matthew Bogholtz; and great-grandchildren, Patrick, and Jonathan.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
