Sammy E. Sullivan, 1946-2021

Sammy E. Sullivan of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale.

He was born July 30, 1946 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Sam and Aline Sullivan; he moved to Lake Wales in 2007. Sammy was a retired Project Manager and Supervisor of iron workers and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1963 until 1967. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales and was a Shriner and a Mason. He loved to spend his time hunting and fishing.

Sammy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynn Sullivan.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Lake Wales with Pastor Charles Little and Deacon Charles Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery after a lunch provided by the church.
