Lamar Goff, 1944-2021

Lamar Goff, 76, of Lake Wales passed away Monday, Aug. 23, 2021 at his residence.

He was born September 8, 1944 in Lake Wales, to the late Daniel and Margaret Goff. Lamar was a retired Police Officer for the Frostproof Police Department and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles. Lamar was an artist and was known for building clocks.

Lamar is survived by his wife of 53 years, Susie Goff; daughters, Lisa Kendrick and husband Layton of Lakeland, and Christie Maerker of Frostproof; sisters, Gwen Mauldin of Lakeland, Ann Bleichert of Northpoint, and Dale Conclin of Crestview; brothers, Cary Goff of Chesterfield, Virginia, and Melton Goff of Lake Wales; grandchildren, Mathew, Wade, Michael, and Kaydee; and great-grandchildren, Kamden, Camden, Karson, Kaleb, Bodhi, and Wade.

A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 27 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Walter Nelson officiating.
