Joseph Buckley, 1938-2021

Joseph Anthony Buckley, 83, of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Lakeland Regional.

He was born June 11, 1938 in Pittsfield, MA to the late Francis and Gertrude Buckley; he moved Lake Wales from Hollywood in 1997. Joseph was a retired systems programmer for Eastern Airlines and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, and enjoyed spending his time golfing, and watching baseball, especially the Marlins. He was a fan of the Miami Dolphins and loved his family most of all.

Joseph was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna McPherson in 2015. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret K. Buckley; daughters, Deborah Jordan and husband Leroy of Fort Lauderdale, Sheri Myers and husband Robert of Lake Wales, and Karen Shroth and husband Richard of Winter Haven; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
