Jose Ramos, 1970-2021

Jose Juan Ramos, 51, of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 in Honk Kong.

He was born March 13, 1970 in Brooklyn, NY to Jose and Nelly Ramos.

Jose was a graduate of Lake Wales High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree at Webber University. Jose loved volleyball; he coached at Webber for many years. He always loved to make everyone smile.

He was a loving son, father, brother, and friend to many. Jose traveled the world and believed that the world was his oyster. He lived life to the fullest and danced as if no one was watching. He gave his last to many and his smile to everyone. Jose never met a stranger because everyone was family. Let's celebrate Life as he would want us to celebrate.

Jose was a member of the Four Winds Interactive family since 2012. Through his extensive knowledge of the software platform, Jose was instrumental in making the company successful across the U.S. and the world – having moved from the Denver office to Miami, Dubai, and Hong Kong. Jose began his career with FWI as a member of the technical support team, advancing to a Sales Engineer. Jose built a family everywhere he traveled with his endless love for his teammates and positive attitude.

Jose is survived by his son, Elija Ramos Sutherlin; parents, Jose and Nelly Ramos; and sister, Nerida Ramos Wilson (Ivory Lee Wilson, Jr.), and nieces: Iris Hibbert (Rasheed Hibbert), Jazmine Wilson, and Ivey Wilson.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 12 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
