Danny Kinchen, 1952-2021

Danny Kinchen, 68, of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at his residence.

He was born July 9, 1952 in Winter Haven to the late J.D. and Nora Kinchen. Danny worked as a mechanic for Mosaic Corporation for 34 years and was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved fishing, working in his yard, going to the Hard Rock Casino with his wife, playing the lottery, and spending time with his family. He always had control of the T.V. remote.

Danny was preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Darity; and brothers, Dale Kinchen, Paul Kinchen, and J.N. Kinchen. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen Kinchen; daughter, Christina Kinchen of Lake Alfred; son Andrew Kinchen and wife Laura of Fort Meade; sisters, Theresa Lilly of Winter Haven, Sheila Johnson of Eloise, and Shirley Lee of Wahneta; brother, Ranny Kinchen of Fort Meade; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to Good Shepherd Hospice (chaptershealth.org) or United Way (unitedway.org). Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales is handling arrangements.
