Walter F. “Frankie” Farmer, Jr., 48, of Babson Park passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Advent Health Lake Wales.
He was born April 6, 1973 in Winter Haven to Walter and Peggy Farmer and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Frankie was a self-employed citrus grafter for Walter Farmer Citrus Budding and was a member of New Harvest Worship Center. He was a devoted family man, he enjoyed the Smoky Mountains, the beach, hunting, fishing. He was a collector of Case Knives, Zippo Lighters, and guns.
Frankie was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Farmer. He is survived by his wife, Dawn Farmer; daughters, Merissa Farmer of Babson Park, Diana Farmer and companion Tuff Hunt of Babson Park, Alice Farmer and companion Richard Waltz of Babson Park, and Kristen Sopczak and companion Brandi Welch of Lakeland; sons, Walter Franklin Trimble and husband Joshua of Lakeland, Larry Adams and companion Jen VanDorn of Lakeland, and Jason Sopczak of Babson Park; father, Walter “Papa” Farmer of Babson Park; sisters, Debbie Carter and Brenda McCullough both of Babson Park, and Frances Corona of Winter Haven; brother, Jesse Farmer of Auburndale; and three grandchildren. Aside from his children, he was also “Dad” to many others whom he helped through life.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until the funeral service at 6 p.m., Monday, April 12 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Steve Livingston officiating.
