Angela Connelly, 56, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Jan. 11, 2021 at her home in Woodbine GA.
She was born June 13, 1964 to Frank and Lois Meade in Lake Wales.
She graduated from Landmark Baptist High School in 1982. Angela (Angel) worked many years for her parents at the Act II Shoppe in Lake Wales and later worked for Certipay in Winter Haven and more recently for Jekyll Island, GA.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her son Alexsander Lawson of West Virginia.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Lyndsey Connelly of Woodbine GA, Logan Whidden (Trooper Whidden) of Woodbine GA; her grandchildren, Dempsey Whidden, Scarlett Whidden Arrow Whidden and Posie Whidden; Her sisters, Teresa Burr of Winter Haven, and Marilyn Meade of Haines City. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who commonly referred to her as their favorite aunt.
Angel will be remembered for her love of the beach, Saturday Morning yard sales, and trips with her family and friends. She was always the life of any gathering, a light to any room she entered. She was loving, kind and generous, and always willing to help anyone in need. But more than anything, she will be remembered for her unwavering love of her family and friends
Strong in her faith throughout her battle with cancer, and in her last days here on earth. That same faith carried her to her eternal home where she was greeted by her Savior and many family members.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
