Missy McCullough Charles, 1970-2021

Melissa “Missy” Gay McCullough Charles, 50, of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021 at Advent Health Lake Wales.

She was born May 24, 1970 in Miami to Donald McCullough and Barbara Schofield-McCullough; she moved to Lake Wales with her parents as a child and has lived here ever since. Missy was very proud of her position as senior payroll naalyst for Labor Solutions. She had an incredibly giving and loving soul. Missy loved her children, gospel music, and singing. She was driven and hardworking and would always let you know how she felt about you.

Missy is survived by her sons, Justin Charles of Bradenton, and Cody Charles (Kyle Scheeringa) of Bradenton; mother, Barbara Schofield-McCullough of Bradenton; father, Donald McCullough of Lake Wales; sisters, Melinda Brimlow (Michael) of Lake Wales, and Melanie DeLeon-Thompson of Palmetto; and nieces and nephews, Tristan Moschetto of Lake Wales, Trinity Moschetto of Lake Wales, and Nya DeLeon- Thompson of Palmetto.

A memorial service will be held at a later time. Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales is handling arrangements.
