Roman Hernandez Jr.

Roman Hernandez, Jr., 54, of Lake Wales passed away Monday, Sept. 21, 2020 at Advent Health Lake Wales.

He was born August 27, 1966 in Uvalde, TX to Roman and Julia Hernandez of Lake Wales, he came here from Texas when he was four years old. He was a self-employed auto mechanic. Roman enjoyed painting and working on cars; he loved his family dearly, especially his nieces and nephews. He would give you the shirt off his back and was his mom's right hand.

Roman was preceded in death by his sister, Angelita. Survivors include his brothers, Robert Hernandez and wife Kim, of Lake Wales, and Rafael Hernandez and wife Kim of Lake Wales; nieces and nephews, Melissa Hernandez, Austin Hernandez, Ambriea Hernandez, Alysa Hernandez, and Houston Hernandez; and great-nieces and nephews, Emma Candia, Melody Candia, Colton Nichols, Aubrey Herndon, Kalynn Candia, Jaxon Herndon, and Waylon Hernandez.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. The funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020 at the funeral home with Father David Vargas officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
