Gloria Clark, 1938-2020

Gloria Clark, 81, of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 4, 1938 in Lake Wales to the late James and Mildred Duncan. Gloria was a retired waitress. She was of the Baptist faith and loved shopping, traveling, and going to the beach.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ray Clark in 2005; brother, Ronald Duncan; and grandson, Jason Bracken in 2005. She is survived by her daughters, Tina Young of Frostproof, Sandra Duncan Lindsey of Murphy, NC, and Ann Bracken and husband Wesley of Hendersonville, NC; son, James Mearse of St. Petersburg; grandchildren, Nicholas McDonald, Misty (Steven) Reeves, JR Bracken, David (Sarah) Bracken, Tonya (Chris) Tolar, Jennie, and Angelina; and great-grandchildren, Desiree, Thomas (Cassie), Allyson, Jayden, Nasya, Derrick, Paisley, Logan, Payton, Riley, Aubrey, Ransom, Shellieann, Valerie, Josiah, Carson, CJ, Alexis, and Jordan.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until funeral service time at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Pastor Landon McCallister officiating. Interment will take place at Lake Wales Cemetery.
