Priscilla Collier Taylor, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2020, at Sun Coast Hospice in Pinellas Park.
Priscilla was born on January 2, 1940, in Lake Wales to Lawrence and Alnita Collier. She graduated from Lake Wales High School in 1957 and received her nursing degree from Polk Community College in 1973.
She resided in Winter Haven throughout her nursing career at Polk County Alcohol and Drug Program, several doctors' offices, and as Director of Nursing at Lake Howard Heights. She also taught piano lessons in Winter Haven. Since her retirement, Priscilla has resided at Top of the World in Clearwater.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Alnita Collier; her brother, Daniel Collier; her sister, Allie Torbert, her brother-in-law, Joseph Torbert; her brother-in-law, W.M. Chisolm and her son-in-law, Robert Gillooley.
Priscilla is survived by her children, Tracy Taylor Gillooley and Robert Taylor; stepsons, Tom Taylor (Lori) and Todd Taylor (Victoria); sisters, Nita Shaw (Lowell) and Michael Collier Chisolm; sister-in-law, Betty Turner Collier; grandchildren, Anna Palasciano Long (William), Amber Palasciano McIntosh (Braegen). Nicholas Taylor, Kyle Gillooley and Melanie Gillooley Magnuson; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Her cremains will be interred with her parents at Lake Wales Cemetery.
