Sharon Price Dawson Dube, 69, of Frostproof passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.
She was born December 19, 1950 in Valdosta, GA to the late Aaron and Pauline Dawson; she moved to Frostproof in 2012 from Orlando. She was a retired business manager.
Sharon graduated from Frostproof High School with the class of 1969. She was a retired staff sergeant of the U.S. Air Force, earning numerous ribbons and commendations, including Commendation Medal and First and Second Oak Leaf Clusters, and outstanding unit award.
She was a member First United Methodist Church in Frostproof and of the Frostproof Lions Club. Sharon enjoyed cooking, restoring old homes, making jewelry, and family gatherings. She had the pleasure of being able to travel to 30 countries.
Sharon was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Dawson Phillipps. She is survived by her sisters, Jenny B. Smith and husband, Jimmy of Frostproof, and Tammy Miller of Lake Wales; brother, Lee Dawson and wife, Darlene of Bartow; brothers in law, Chris Phillipps of Key West, and Bruce Miller of Lake Wales; and many nieces and nephews, who she was very close with and loved dearly.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 3 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales with Jimmy Smith officiating. Interment will take place at The Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moffitt Foundation (Moffitt Cancer Center, 10920 McKinley Drive, Tamps, Florida 33612).
