Richard Price, 1948-2020

Richard Vernon Price, 71, of Frostproof passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020 at his residence.

He was born November 9, 1948 in Rockford, IL to the late Charles and Verna Price. Richard was a retired Sgt. Major for the U.S. Army following 30 years of service. Richard was awarded the Legion of Merit Award, Bronze Star, Meritorious Unit and Air Medal. He was very proud of his military service.

Richard is survived by his wife of 21 years, Beth Vogel; daughters, Shawn Scott (Buck) of Babson Park, and Meri An Bell (Dan) of Buckle, TN; and son, Richard Price, Jr. (Jessica) of Lawton, OK; and six grandchildren, Evelyn Willa, Kody, Kyle, Dakota, and Cheyenne.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. May 29 up until the 10 a.m. funeral service time. Interment will be at a later date at Sarasota National Cemetery. Marion Nelson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
