Helen Ann Ravotto, 1921-2020

Helen Ann Ravotto, 98, of Lake Wales, formerly of Weirton, WV passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, at her home.

She was born March 25, 1921, in Apollo, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Ann Ficca Porreca. She was also preceded in death by her husband Pete Ravotto; son Louis Ravotto; five brothers and four sisters.

For 19 years, Helen worked for the former Weirton G. C. Murphy Company. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and exercising at the Weirton Community Center.

She is survived by her daughters Elaine (Lee Van Horn) Ravotto of Lake Wales, with whom she made her home and Janet (Michael) Brown of Beckley, WV; grandchildren Dr. Jessica (Joseph) Burgy, Sarah (Cody) Irvin, Jeff (Jo Lynn) Van Horn, Jerry (Laurie) Van Horn, Jamie (Danna) Van Horn and Jennifer (Jason) Young and great-grandchildren Emerson, Madeline, Ronan, Taylor, Emily, Joshua, Lyla, Jacey, Jasmin and Jaylin and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. The Rev. Father Babu Joseph Elamturuthil will officiate. Interment will follow in St Paul Cemetery.

Professional services were provided to the family with the guidance of Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062. Johnson-Nelson-Gill Funeral Home in Lake Wales is handling local arrangements.
