Gloria Jean Hatten, 1949-2019

Gloria Jean Hatten, 70, of Lake Wales passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born September 30, 1949 in Kenova, WV to the late Clyde and Virginia L. (Meredith) Scarberry. She has been a resident of the area for 20 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Gloria loved pets, cooking for her family, fishing and Jesus.

She is preceded in death by her brother Daniel J. Scarberry, sisters Loa Louise Hatten and Alisha Dare Holt.

She is survived by her husband Jackie D. Hatten, daughter Melissa Scott of Frostproof, FL, sons Jackie Hatten Jr. and wife Stephanie of Riverview, FL, John D. Hatten of Lakeland, FL, sister Carol Yerks of Lakeland, FL, brother David Scarberry of Sedwick, KS, and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 12 p.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with interment at Silver Hill Cemetery.
