Millie Gravel, 1948-2019

Mildred Bailey “Millie” Gravel, 71, of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

Mildred was born April 2, 1948 in Haysi, VA to the late Basil and Altia (Owens) Bailey. She has been a resident of the area since 2004 coming from Moneta, VA. Millie was a retired postal clerk and was of the Christian faith.

She is preceded in death by her 2 brothers Jake and Monroe.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years David Gravel, daughter Heather Haas (Mike) of Madison, WI, stepdaughter Christine Hontz (Mark) of Minneapolis, MN, son Mark Haymaker of Fairfax, VA, stepson Derek Gravel of Minneapolis, MN, sister Betty Deel of Birchleaf, VA, brothers Dempsey Bailey of OH, Denver Bailey of Elkhorn City, KY, Teddy Bailey of TN, Toby Bailey of Birchleaf, VA, and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Virginia. Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales is in charge of arrangements.
