Communication Builds Our Community
Honk if you love bass fishing! Bartow Ford is investing in Florida bass conservation by partnering with FWC's TrophyCatch angler recognition program. The company has provided a Ford F-150 to be the "TrophyCatch Truck," which is being used to promote the program throughout Florida. The F-150 is also the designated tow vehicle for the TrophyCatch boat, donated by partner Phoenix Bass Boats. The colorfully wrapped duo of truck and boat provide a mobile billboard that encourages bass anglers to find out more at TrophyCatch.com.
"The truck is a dream for pulling the TrophyCatch bass boat," says TrophyCatch Director K.P. Clements. "They both draw a lot of attention wherever we go. And that's attention not only for conservation and the future of bass angling, but the great fishing Florida has to offer across the entire state."
In addition to the truck, Bartow Ford provides prizing for the TrophyCatch program. Anglers who successfully document and release a trophy bass 8 pounds or larger receive a $300 accessory voucher that can be used at the time of purchase of a new vehicle from the dealership. The company has been serving the central Florida community for more than 70 years from its Bartow location.
Bartow Ford is also committed to the future of Florida's bass fisheries through the Bartow Ford Team Trail tournament that offers a chance to win a truck (details at tohomarine.com/elite-pro-team-trail-2019) and by special events for youth anglers in the Polk County area.
TrophyCatch is an incentive-based conservation program for anglers who catch, document and release largemouth bass heavier than 8 pounds in Florida. The primary goal is to collect valid data about trophy bass to help the FWC better enhance, conserve and promote trophy bass fishing. The program also requires catch and release of these valuable fish, giving others the chance to land a lifetime trophy. Visit TrophyCatch.com for more information and to learn how to participate
