Alquin H. Klaphake, 87, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring.
He was born October 22, 1932 in Alexandria, MN to the late George and Agnes Klaphake. He has been a resident of the area since 1984 coming from Minnesota. He was a supervisor for 30 years for Schweigert Meat Company. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dundee. Alquin was a veteran in the U.S. Army serving in Korea.
He is preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
He is survived by his wife Isabella J. Klaphake, children Richard “Rick” Klaphake and companion Linda of Deltona, FL, Ronald Klaphake of Minneapolis, MN, Diane Koester and husband Chris of Minneapolis, MN, Lisa Ditty and husband Rick of Minneapolis, MN, step children Stephen Wiebold and wife Tammy of Lake Wales, FL, Kevin Wiebold and wife Teresa of Madison Lake, MN, sisters Rosemary Dichaus, Janet Becker, Dorothy Petermier, Mary Ann Bearson, Alice Bortal, 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Johnson-Nelson-Gill Funeral Home in Lake Wales is in charge of local arrangements.
