Anna Jacobs, 1926-2019

Anna Denicola Jacobs, 93, of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2019 at Lifecare Center in Winter Haven.

She was born January 21, 1926 in Capri, Italy to the late Ferdinando and Maria (DeAngelis) DeNicola. She has been a resident of the area since 1946 coming from Italy. She was a fruit grader for Hunt Brothers and a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Anna loved her family, she spent many hours caring for her grandchildren, she had a strong faith and was known for her spaghetti and meatballs. She also never met a stranger and had many friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Loyse Jacobs.

She is survived by her son Ralph Jacobs and wife Cova of Babson Park, brother Joe DeNicola of New York, 4 grandchildren Bill Jacobs and wife Shelli of Babson Park, Jennifer Mueller and husband Jason of Winter Haven, Catherine Boggess and husband Rob of Lake Wales, Chris Jacobs and wife Katie of Winter Haven, and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15 until the service at 11a.m. at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the DAV (Disabled American Vets) at DAV.org.

Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales is in charge of arrangements.
