The Green & Gold Foundation will host a Black & Gold Gala to raise funds to support the B Street Community Center.
The Gala will include an enjoyable evening of dinner and music from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Lake Ashton Ballroom.
Tickets are $65 each or $500 for a VIP table of eight. Tickets or sponsorships can be purchased online at http://www.bstreetcommunitycenter.org.
Sponsors also are needed for the event. Sponsor levels are: $150 for Sparkle, which includes one gala ticket and a logo in the gala program; $250 for Glitter, one event ticket and logo in program; $500 for Gold, two event tickets and logo in program and on promotional flyers; $750 for Crystal, four event tickets and logo in program, on flyers and displayed at check-in; and $1,000 for Diamond, a reserved VIP table for eight and logo in program, flyer, check-in and on dinner table.

The B Street Community Service Center is located at 230 B Street just north of Lincoln Avenue. The B Street Center is the epitome of a neighborhood community center. The Center opened in 2001 and has proven over the years to be a place of assistance to those in need, as well as an education center that educates, empowers and enlightens.
The B Street Center is owned and operated by the Green and Gold Foundation, a 501c3 Non-Profit organization.
The B Street Center offers a variety of support services to community residents, while also offering programming that provides for the education, health and wellness and financial independence of community residents. A snap shot of the programs and services offered at the center include:
• Computer access for those applying for SNAP/ EBT benefits
• Computer literacy training for youth and adult
• Fitness programs
• Youth Mentoring Program
• After school tutoring program
• Food Bank and free bread on Mondays
• Summer programs for youth
• Employment search assistance
• Juvenile justice counseling by appointment
• Senior exercise classes
• Transition and utility support and scholarships
