Communication Builds Our Community

Polk State to Host FallFest Oct. 19

Thousands will trek to Polk State College on Oct. 19 for this year's FallFest, continuing a community tradition that is more than 30 years strong.

The Winter Haven Campus will transform into the highly anticipated craft fair at 999 Ave. H N.E. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the third Saturday of October, bringing together a variety of activities and crafters featuring items from art and woodwork, to jewelry and clothing, to baked goods and more.

The event also features a kid zone, pumpkin patch, haunted house, music, food, and educational demonstrations.

The festival is free, with vendor fees and proceeds from activities supporting the Polk State College Foundation to benefit students.

"This is Polk State's largest event of the year and truly highlights the College's strong connection to the community," Program Coordinator Nancy Lozell said. "People come from all over to attend this annual event to celebrate the season, our community, and Polk State College."

The collaboration of Polk State's students, employee volunteers, and participating partners make the event possible.
