Annabelle Pritchett, 86, of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at her residence.
She was born April 12, 1933 in Dalton, GA to the late Roy and Lucille (Peeples) Hammontree and she has been a resident of this area for the last 9 months moving here from Springfield, VA. She was a retired secretary for Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon. Before coming to Lake Wales, Annabelle was very active in the Messiah United Methodist Church in Springfield, Virginia, loved to collect angel figurines and going to the beach. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Wales.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Harlan Pritchett in 2015; daughter, Carrie Boulis; sisters, Virginia Ballew and Louise Chatham.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Van Sickle and her husband Jack of Lake Wales, and son Rick Pritchett and his wife Jennifer of Groveland, FL; sister, Mildred Ingle of Chatsworth, GA ; 9 grandchildren , 14 great grandchildren and faithful poodle Buddy.
Graveside service will be held at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery.
