Mary Danyce Bolden, 1946-2019

Mary Danyce Bolden, 72, was born December 15, 1946 and passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019. She was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated in 1965 from Lake Wales High School. She was married to her husband Richard for 53 years.

Mary worked for several years in the family landscaping business. However, her favorite job was being a homemaker and devoted mother. Mary loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, riding horses and cruising down the road on her motorcycle. For many years she played the organ for her church at Central Avenue Baptist in Lake Wales. She was of the Christian faith and a member of the West Side Baptist Church in Lake Wales.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Wesley "Billy" Jones and Zollie Mae Agnes Jones and grandson Waylon Daniel Bolden. Mary is survived by her husband, Richard L. Bolden; sons Richard E. Bolden (Deanna); Stephen W. Bolden (Pam); Daniel A. Bolden (Lyndsey) all of Lake Wales; brother Chuck Jones (Nancy) of Palm Coast, FL; sisters, Susan Brinkley (Mike) of Crossville, TN; Terri Tucker (Tim) of Lake Wales; her nine grandchildren Tanner, Garrett, Reagan, Micah, Josiah, Addyson, Brooke, Mallory, and Paige and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27 until service time at 11 a.m. at the Central Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating. Interment will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Florida National Cemetery.
