James R. "Jim" Rowe, 79, of Albany, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019.
Born November 17, 1939, in Prestonsburg, KY Mr. Rowe was the son of the late Jesse and Hester Ward Rowe. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, and later went to work as a carpenter and handyman until he retired from Dusty's Camper World in Bartow, FL. He and his beloved wife Lonie were married for 28 years, many of those years they lived in Lake Wales, FL and eventually moved to Georgia five years ago. He was of the Presbyterian faith, loved crossword puzzles, and liked to tinker in his shop. He loved his children and was very proud of his grandchildren. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he will be greatly missed by all.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna and 6 siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Lonie Rowe of Albany, GA; children, Barbara Watson and her husband Dale of Jamestown, OH, Melissa Warren and her husband Joe of Gainesville, GA, and Mary Elrod and her husband Marty of Lake Wales, FL; sister, Marcie Clifford of Daleview, NE.
At Jim's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations be made to Hall and Hall Funeral Home in honor of Mr. Rowe's life to help cover the cost of final expenses.
