New Normal for New You Retreat

Explore "Access Bars" April 5-7

The Life Long Learning Center at Melange Antiques and Art Gallery in historic downtown Lake Wales is planning its grand opening with a weekend retreat April 5-7.

Lifestyle and well-being experts Cal Hauptle and Emme Simon from Asheville, NC will kick off the weekend with a free conversational evening on well-being, health, wealth, relationships and perfect self-expression. The gathering, open to the public, will take place from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 5 in the Gallery at Melange, 250 E. Park Avenue. Participants can find out more and sign up for the "New Normal for a New You" weekend.

Saturday and Sunday retreat activities will take place at 300 S. Lakeshore Blvd. The retreat is described as a time to take "time out" for you and to say "yes" to your life. Elements include yoga, Access Bars®, theater improvisation, meditation, the art of memoir, the joy of doing business, fellowship, play and laughter.

The cost for local residents is $500 for the program which normally charges $750. It offers Access Bars® Certification for Holistic Practitioners. Also included are life coaches, massage therapists, plus take-home fun and practical tools "to open new doors to possibility and choice." Accommodations are available on request.

According to the accessconsciousness.com website, Access Bars is a gentle hands-on modality that was introduced by Gary Douglas in the early 1990s. The Bars are 32 unique points on the head that correlate to different areas and aspects of life. During an Access Bars session, a practitioner gently touches these points to release the electromagnetic charge of all thoughts, ideas, attitudes, decisions, and beliefs that may have limited you in the concerned life areas.
