Immerse in Greek Culture

St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church is holding its annual Greek Festival the weekend of Feb. 22-24. This 3-day event has been a tradition for over 30 years.

The Festival features Greek cuisine, authentic pastries, live music, dancing and lessons. The church invites people to immerse themselves in Greek culture for a day. Food will include octopus, lamb shank, saganaki-flaming cheese and of course baklava for dessert.

The Festival runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church, located off Winter Lake Road (SR 540) at 1030 Bradbury Road, Winter Haven.

Attendees are invited to take a free tour of St. Sophia's Church sanctuary. The event will have crafters, vendors and a Greek grocery story.
