Colorful Ardolino Exhibit at Melange

Jennifer Ardolino says the goal of her art is to "make people happy." It's definitely hard not to smile when viewing her tropical scenes or colorful abstracts.

Ardolino is a regular in the art show circuit, exhibiting at the finest Florida shows and some festivals outside Florida. A significant body of her work is on display through March 14 at the Art Gallery at Melange, 250 E. Park Ave. in historic downtown Lake Wales.

Melange is offering a number of abstract originals, including bright works woven from strips of two art pieces. Ardolino prints, mats and frames her own work, so she has provided Melange with a large number of affordable matted giclee prints, starting at just $70. Melange has an in-house custom framer, Robert Bullock with CI Framing, so buyers can choose how they'd like the artwork they purchase to be finished.

A graduate of Colorado's Institute of Art, Ardolino's work has gained national and international acclaim, earning her numerous awards on the art show circuit. She produces all her own artwork; her many years of training and experience as a successful graphic designer have given her the skills and expertise to produce unique, complex signature woven and pleated forms of her watercolor originals.

Her artwork can be found in galleries throughout Florida as well as in Caribbean hotels, corporations and many private collections.

Ardolino sees art in many things and has a magical way of transforming what she sees into happy vivid, wonderfully colored images that transport the viewer into the scenes. The rich palette of the tropics and the beauty of nature have provided her with an endless variety of vibrant colorful abstract images. Her chosen media extend from the striking beauty of rich watercolors to the strong vivid colors of acrylics.

A Native of South Florida, Ardolino's paintings have always reflected her surroundings. Ranging from the vividly colored tropical manicured landscapes of South Florida where she grew up, to the wild unspoiled natural beauty of a remote island preserve where she now lives, to the Tropical Caribbean where she has sailed to and visited many times.
