Gloria Hunt of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Lakeland Hospice House in Lakeland, Florida. Gloria was born November 1, 1928. Gloria was a retired teacher who taught English and worked on the yearbook at Lake Wales High School and was an active member of Lake Wales Methodist Church. A new bicycle and pedestrian trail will connect the Lake Wailes Trail and the Lake Wales Trailway paths with Bok Tower Gardens as a result of a newly-awarded $282,380 grant.
