Lake Wales Police would like to hear from anyone who might have witnessed a fatal accident where a pedestrian was hit by a car shortly after 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3 on U.S. 27 at Lakeside Drive. A 22-year-old Lake Wales woman, Regina Kelly, was attempting to cross U.S. 27 when she was hit by a car traveling south driven by Jill Smeal of Babson Park.
