We offer an adult education program Tuesday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. called “Proclaiming Our Potential” or “POP”. Our goal with the program is to help our students discover and develop their own dreams and potential. We look beyond disabilities to see all the abilities these special friends have to offer their community. Circle of Friends Ministry, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Christian organization that provides enhancement to the lives of adults with physical and/or developmental disabilities. We offer social, educational, cultural, and therapeutic arts activities for individuals with special needs. We also offer job training and possible job placement within the community as well as respite care and support to caregivers and families.

Kingdom City Outreach (KCO) is a non-profit organization serving Lake Wales and surrounding communities. We help develop men and women through accountability groups, we provide hot lunches to community members twice a month, and we have a youth organization called G-HYPE (Generation Helping Young People Every Day). G-Hype’s focus is to fight against teen pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, and drug prevention. Additionally, we have a food pantry.

Lake Wales Heritage is deeply engaged in the replanting of the 1930 Lake Wales streetscapes designed by famous landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. shortly after his completion of the gardens at Bok Tower. Edward Bok funded the original design. Heritage also hosts educational programs for both adults and students to share knowledge of the historic resources.
